HACKLEBURG — The Hackleburg Panthers took on the Meek Tigers Friday night, Sept. 6, and came out victors on a 34-8 win, holding Meek to only one touchdown. By the end of the first quarter, Hackleburg had already racked up three touchdowns.

BERRY — The Berry Wildcats kicked off region play as they welcomed the Marion County Red Raiders to Fred Webster Stadium Friday. The Wildcats grabbed an early lead and never looked back as they cruised to a 43-point victory.
BEAR CREEK — The Phillips Bears’ home opener didn’t go as they would have liked, thanks in part to a bad case of the penalty bug, which allowed the Vina Red Devils to win 28-6 and start their season 2-0 for the first time since 2005.

GUIN — The Marion County Red Raiders hosted the Phillips Bears on Friday night, Aug. 30, defeating the Bears 47-0.
