Birmingham - In its 52nd year, the Journal Record continues its tradition of exceptional news coverage in Marion County.
The Alabama Press Association (APA) announced on Friday, May 28, that two first-place awards were announced for the news organization in the 2021 APA Media Awards (AMA).
According to APA Chairman Dee Ann Campbell, this year 54 publications submitted 1,852 entries in the annual contest. The South Carolina Press Association membership judged entries this year.
HALEYVILLE - Mid-South Newspapers Publisher Horace Moore is the new president of the Alabama Press Association Board of Directors.
Moore assumed the top leadership position of the state press association on Saturday, Feb. 9.
