Alice Janine Drury

Alice Janine Drury, 65, of Winfield, Ala., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, with her husband by her side at UAB St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. Janine was born in Guin, Ala., on Aug. 4, 1961, to Lester and Willie Mae Vickery.
Janine loved her church and was a faithful member of Faith Church for 20 years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she treasured her church family. A graduate of Winfield High School and Bevill State Community College’s nursing program, Janine dedicated nearly 45 years of her life to nursing and caring for others. She also spent 30 years managing Dr. William Lenahan’s OB/GYN office before her retirement. In her free time, Janine enjoyed camping, traveling, reading and cooking. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.
Janine is survived by her husband, Jerry Drury; her children, Kristy Ayers (Eddie), Ricky Flippo (Beth), Dustin Flippo (Samantha), Michelle Drury and Nathan Drury (Susan); her bonus daughter, Brandy Flippo; her grandchildren, Aubrey Kelly, William Drury, Harper Drury, Jenna Sargent (Devin), Carter Ayers, Abby Ayers, Aiden Flippo, Mila Flippo and Jayden Fissette; along with a host of extended family members, church family and friends.
Janine was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Willie Mae Vickery; and her brothers, Michael and Winfred Vickery.
Funeral services for Janine were held on Oct. 12, 2026, at the Faith Church with burial following in the Winfield City Cemetery.
