Charles Lee Albert, 57, Pensacola, Fla., passed away on May 27, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

He was born in Hialeah, Fla., on May 19, 1964, to Patricia C. Lewis.
He was survived by his wife - Susannah Albert; daughters - Kirstin (Julian) Taylor and Megan (Christopher Deboe) Albert; step-son - Justin (Kayla); four grandchildren; sister - Virginia "Ginny" Shipes; brother - Kevin (Tia) Albert; and a host of in-laws, nephews, nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents - Charles and Gertrude Quinn; mom - Patricia Lewis; step-dad - Bob Albert; little brother - Robert Albert; and little sister - Robin Albert.
The funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the Marion County Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Cooper Cemetery.

He was born on July 24, 1942, in Mobile. He was a Vietnam Veteran and had been a computer tech at NTN Bower.
He is survived by his wife - Rebecca Sue Suttles Blalock; children - Shane (Erin) Blalock, Mistie (Walter) Franklin, Andy Blalock, Rebecca Ruth Blalock and Nana Vicki; grandchildren - Dalton, Jack Parker, Ella, Caleb, Ben, Allen, Ethan, Devin, Mia and Thatcher; great-grandchild - Joslynn; and a host of many very special close friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his mother - Eliouse (Ben) Hooper; and brother - Johnny Hopper.
The funeral service was held on Sunday June 6, 2021, at Fulton Bridge Church with burial following in Memorial Gardens.
Bro. Dan Duncan and Bro. Jeff Brantly were the officiating ministers.
Pallbearers were Caleb, Ethan, Devin, Dalton, Ella, Mia,Ben and Allen.
Honorary Pallbearers were Gary Mixon, Aaron Mitchell, Sonny Nix, Greg Hammitte, Jeremy Evans, Jonathan Frederick, Kenneth Ledbetter, Carl Lucas and Bobby Wallace.

Mr. Roman L. Franks better known as R.L., 90, Twin community, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at his residence.

He was a member of the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church. He was born in Nauvoo on March 18, 1931, to Carl and Lillie Franks.  
Early in life he moved his family to Illinois. He worked for Oscar Meyer Co. in Davenport, Iowa until his retirement. He then returned to Alabama and worked in the coal mining industry until his retirement there.  
He is survived by his daughter - Mona Taylor, Rock Island, Ill.; sons - Robert W. Franks, Twin, Greg (Jody) Franks, East Moline, Ill., and Billy (Donna) Franks, Twin; grandchildren - Casey Franks, Stephanie Taylor, Ashley Taylor, Sara Taylor, Greg (Nikki) Franks, Leighann (Jeff) Klossing, Brandi (Chris) Seagraves and Jennifer (Kody) Hood; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, church family and friends.
Mr. Franks was preceded in death by his wife - Shirley Weeks Franks; his parents - Carl Franks and Lillie Brandt Franks; sisters - Pauline Franks, Rutha May Stovall and Ruby Lee Maddox; brothers - Leatus Franks and J.W. Franks; a grandson - Jeremy Franks; and his in-laws - Shirley “Shurd” and Vera Weeks.                    
The funeral service for Mr. Franks was held on Saturday, June 12, 2021, from the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church with burial following in the adjoining cemetery.

James Wayne Gilbert, 51, Haleyville, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Alabama on Monday, Feb. 23, 1970, to Brenda Sue Hyde Adams.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother - Brenda Hyde Adams; step-father - Kerry Adams;  brother - Wesley Brian (Tammy) Gilbert; niece - Madison Taylor Lopez Hooper; great-niece - Everly Graceylnn Hooper; uncle - Eddie (Kay) Hyde; aunt - Sylvia (Bo) Knight; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister - Regina Lynn Lopez McCoy; and grandparents - Lenos and Willie Gilbert, Eddie Cecil Hyde and Lonnie Lucile Postell Hyde Baker.

Mr. Perry Gilbert, 59, Winfield, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021.
Mr. Gilbert was born on Oct. 10, 1961, to Billy Lucas Gilbert and Robbie Faye Whitehead Gilbert.

Mr. Gilbert is survived by his daughter - Tasha (Alex) Frizzell, Auburn; two grandchildren - Addyson and Marcus Frizzell; two brothers - Bill (Mary) Gilbert and Harold Gilbert; two sisters - Deborah Nix and Theresa Chaffin; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents - Billy and Robbie Gilbert; and a brother - Steven Lucas Gilbert.

Mrs. June Deason Key, 88, Winfield, passed away peacefully at the Diversicare Nursing Home of Winfield on June 1, 2021.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years - James A. “Jim” Key; daughter - Jamie (James) Fitzpatrick; son - Jason (Tracey) Key; grandson - Sam Key; granddaughter - Bailey (Brennan) Harris; and great-grandson - Sawyer James Harris.
A private family graveside service was held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Memory Gardens in Jasper.  
Dr. Paul Murphy was the officiating minister.

Mr. Rickey Neal Pope, Sr., 67, Northport, formerly of Winfield, son of the late R. R. Pope and Faye Galbreath Pope, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital.

He was a graduate of Winfield City High School and served in the United States Army. He was in the car business for over 30 years, an avid audiophile, lover of music and strong supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide.  
He is survived by his wife - Janet Burks Pope; son - Rickey Neal (Dawn) Pope Jr.; daughter - Andrea Pope (Michael) Shannon; grandson - Rush Hill Shannon; granddaughter - Exie Faye Shannon; brothers - Steve (Dawn) Pope and Rudy Pope; and best friend - Roger (Charlene) Estes.
He was preceded in death by his parents - R. R. and Faye Pope; and brothers - Jimmy and Buddy Pope.
